"This is our first-ever presence at the Hong Kong fair. We have a total of 20 companies here showcasing a wide range of wines from Argentina. I like the show very much. Everything is good. Hong Kong has very good government support to the wine industry. We are keen to improve our presence in Asia. With its elimination of duties on wine, Hong Kong is going to become the gateway to Asia. We will particiapte in the fair again next year, hopefully with more companies."
Mr Francisco Del Carril, Area Chief, Special Projects, Consejo Federal De Inversiones, Argentina
"This is a great show with good atmosphere, a lot of space and a steady stream of buyers. We have a total of 61 wine companies from Australia this year. The fair is a part of our marketing plan for pomoting Australian wines to Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. It is a good place particularly to introduce our new wines to buyers. Hong Kong is really a hub of business."
Mr Phil Ingram, Senior Trade Commissioner & Deputy Consul-General (Commercial), Australian Trade Commission, Australian Consulate-General, Australia
"This is our first participation at the fair and we have 11 companies in our pavilion. They are mainly boutique wineries with a wide range of wines on display. It is important to make our presence in Hong Kong to expand our distribution network and maintain our position in the market. We are happy with the show as we can meet a large number of buyers, especially those from the Chinese mainland. We will return next year, hopefully with a bigger pavilion."
Mr José Luis Valenzuela O., Europe & Asia Area Manager, Wines of Chile, Chile
"We specialise in bottling wine for different customers. The fair is really good with HKTDC's professional management. We have attracted strong interest from overseas customers from different countries such as Australia, Italy, Switzerland and the Chinese mainland. The result is encouraging. We will definitely come again next year to promote our business."
Mr Randy Lee, Director, Asia Bottling Company Limited, Hong Kong
"Romania is the 7th largest wine producer in European Union. Our products include red wine, white wine, vodka and gin. This is our first presence at the fair and we've received very good responses from buyers from different countries of the world. Hong Kong is a perfect place to promote our wines to Asia, especially the Chinese mainland. Of course, we will join the fair again next year."
Ms Talida Goean, Head of the Economic & Trade Promotion Office, Consulate General of Romania in Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, Romania
"We are one of the largest winemakers in Japan with the headquarters in Otaru. We produce red wine, white wine, Rosé and sparkling wine mainly for domestic sale. It is our plan to expand our export business in Asia and the Hong Kong fair offers a great opportunity to market our products to buyers. Hong Kong is certainly a good place to raise our profile and promote Hokkaido wines."
Mr Naoyuki Kishi, Export Manager, Hokkaido Wine Co., Ltd., Japan
Hear What Buyers Say |
 |
"It is quite an impresisve show. The traffic is good and it is great to see so many wine traders coming together here. We specialise in the import and distribution of fine wines in Singapore and Southeast Asian countries. At the fair, I have found several wineries from New Zealand, Australia and France for potential partnership. Hong Kong is going to be a hub for wine distribution, especially for North Asia. We will consider extending our business to Hong Kong too."
Mr Bruno Vaillant, Director, Alfa International Pte Ltd, Singapore
"Bon Vin is a wine importer based in St. Petersburg. This is my first participation in the fair. I've tasted a rich variety of wines from all over the world and established a large number of business contacts. This world-class exhibition is well organised and a fascinating experience. I look positively towards the future of Hong Kong as an international centre for wine distribution."
Mr Dmitry Zhurkin, Managing Director, Bon Vin Ltd., Russia
"We are an importer and retailer selling different wines and spirits in Australia. This is my first visit to the fair. I found it very professionally run. The convention and exhibition centre is the best of the world and it is so easy to get around here. The future of the fair looks great."
Mr Giuseppe Minissale, General Manager, Porter's Liquor, Australia
