| Asia's Leading Wine Fair Opens with Over 1,000 Exhibitors |
A myriad of international exhibitors have gathered on the first day of business of the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2014. With more than 1,000 exhibitors from 38 countries and regions including new countries from Belarus, Colombia and the Republic of Macedonia, the fair presents a full range of wines and spirits from the Old World and the New, encompassing a good variety of winemaking styles and vintages.

The fair is growing in tandem with increasing appetite for wine worldwide. As well as providing a premier wine and spirits marketplace for traders, the fair also contributes to public wine education which underpins the industry's growth. |
This year the fair welcomes the participation of four new pavilions: Australia In Vines Association from the Yarra Valley, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy of the Republic of Macedonia, Rome Chamber of Commerce from Italy and Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Commission from the Chinese mainland.
Also new to the fair is the dedicated Whisky and Spirits Zone with over 90 exhibitors showcase whisky and spirits, while the debut Whisky and Brandy Bar offers a cozy place for tasting and sharing sessions. |
| Media Update |
| The press conference was held on 16 October. Journalists were briefed about the fair information with update on the latest development regarding the wine industry. Selected exhibitors presented special wines, spirits and other wine related products to the media. |
