Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2020
5-7 November 2020
Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair (HKIWSF), in its 13th edition this year, will be held as scheduled in 5-7 November 2020. It is a platform for exhibitors to tap into the lucrative and flourishing wine markets in Asia and particularly to Mainland China.

2020 has been a challenging year around the world due to COVID-19. To assist global wine and spirits companies to pick up pace in exploring markets and business opportunities using Hong Kong as a trading platform, the HKSAR Government has announced the launch of the Convention and Exhibition Industry Subsidy Scheme on 21 February 2020. Any company - local or overseas, large or small - will be subsidized 50% of its participation fee, subject to a cap of HK$10,000 (US$1,282), and this subsidy applies to HKIWSF 2020!

Following some major reshuffle and postponement of wine trade exhibitions, HKIWSF 2020 remains as one of the international wine trade exhibitions to be held in Hong Kong within 2020, it will be a not-to-missed opportunity to meet buyers from around the globe.

Clink to Success
“More than 70 wine producers have joined together to showcase at the French pavilion organised by Business France this year. We have met with a number of buyers from different places including Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Our wine tasting sessions were all packed with buyers wishing to know more about French wines. Some buyers went to explore business with our wineries immediately after wine tasting. The response has been encouraging. Some of our participating companies have already secured orders. Hong Kong is the seventh largest export market for French wine and spirits, and serves as the platform to re-export to Mainland China and Southeast Asia. Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair plays an essential role in promoting the variety and quality of French wine and spirits. We’re pleased with the results and will bring more French wineries to exhibit here.”

“This is the 11th year we have organised a Spanish pavilion at Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair. A total of 38 wine companies from 20 DO wine regions of Spain are joining together to showcase a wide range of wines. It represents a 30% increase over last year in terms of the number of participating companies, providing a clear sign of our commitment to promoting Spanish wines through the Hong Kong fair. Among them are five organic wineries in the pavilion. Eco-conscious wine production is the trend for the industry and demand is getting strong for organic wines. The response looks positive. The Hong Kong fair is a solid platform for Spanish wines to gain more prominence and increase people’s knowledge about the quality and diversity of our wines. We will strive to provide more wine varieties and bring together more Spanish wineries to exhibit here. This is an international trade event we cannot miss every year.”
